Claiming a Tennessee Lottery prize is simple. A winning ticket must be presented in order to receive your prize.

  • Sign the back of your ticket.

  • Any prize with a value of less than $600, including free tickets, can be claimed at any participating retailer or Lottery district office or by mail (see below).

  • Any prize ranging from $600 to $199,999 must be claimed at any of the Tennessee Lottery's district offices including the Lottery's headquarters or by mail.

  • Any prize with a value of $200,000 or above must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Nashville.

  • Tickets for Powerball, Mega Millions®, HOT LOTTO®, Tennessee Cash, Cash 4 and Cash 3 must be redeemed within 180 days after the drawing date on which the prize was won. Instant tickets must be redeemed within 90 days of the official end of game date. All Tennessee Lottery tickets must be redeemed in the state of Tennessee.

  • For claims over $599, you will be required to produce a valid ID to verify your name, current address, and Social Security number*.
  Acceptable types of identifications include:
  - State Issued Driver's License - Social Security Card
  - Voter's Registration Identification Card - State Issued Identification Card
  - Military Identification Card - Passport
  - Alien Registration Receipt Card  
* Social Security number must be on a computer generated document, such as social security card, insurance card, pay stub or tax forms.

Please sign the back of your ticket. For claims made by mail for prizes less than $600 a claim form is not requiredIf you are mailing your claim without a claim form, please sign back of ticket and include name and address either on the ticket or on a separate piece of paper.

Claims made by mail for prizes of $600 or above must be submitted on a completed claim form. A copy of a valid ID and proof of Social Security number such as a photocopy of the winner’s Social Security card, pay stub, etc., must be included. The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation is not responsible for tickets which are lost, damaged or delayed by the U.S. Postal Service or any other carrier. You can obtain a claim form at any Lottery retailer or by calling the Player Services Hotline.

* When a Lottery retailer validates your ticket, watch the screen at the top of the terminal for important information.
* Listen while your ticket is validated. If your ticket is a winner, the terminal will play one of three musical tunes.
* Ask your retailer for a copy of the validation receipt after cashing your ticket.

All instant tickets must be claimed 90 days after the official end of game date.

All online tickets must be claimed within 180 days after the drawing date on which the prize was won.
